This video shows a simple web configurator generating a blobby sofa/chair shape using SubD geometry. SubD surfaces are notoriously complex and resource-heavy, but thanks to rhino.compute running on a server, generating this 3D model dynamically is really straightforward. Without Rhino and Grasshopper I wouldn’t even know where to start. Seriously, what other web technology could pull this off?

And yes, the sample shape totally looks like a medieval toilet seat in some configurations 🤦‍♂️ Sorry about that!
